Support will not prevent stress but it improves
your ability to absorb it and bounce back from it. Solitary confinement works
in prisons but not at work. If there is not a lot of group support where you
work try these things:
You start it. Begin by supporting others
yourself. You may be amazed at the returns.
Look around your workplace for cohesive
groups and join them. Perhaps your own work group is not supportive. Then
seek support elsewhere.
Beware of isolating yourself. Get out
and around. Don't wait for support. Seek it.
