Watch Your Thinking
 

How you think about quitting can have an enormous affect on your success. Being tough, going it alone, or forgetting why you decided to quit in the first place can sabotage your efforts. Change your way of thinking by including these thoughts and behaviors in your day:

• Call your support person

• Talk to a friend about the benefits of quitting

• Think about the negatives of smoking

• Talk to yourself with positive messages

• Remember how tough it was to quit

• Remind yourself that you do not want to smoke

• Think about your reasons for quitting

• Imagine yourself six months from now –smoke-free, healthy and celebrating!
