The countdown to quitting has begun. The goal of this LifeHub Learning Pathway is to help you prepare to quit so that when you quit, you stay quit. Mark Twain is reputed to have said: "Quitting smoking is no problem, I have done it a hundred times." How you prepare to quit has everything to do with your success. If, like Mark Twain, you have quit before, do not be discouraged. Research has discovered the basic reasons that some people stay quit and some do not. This program builds on that knowledge.

While it is not required, before you tackle quitting a habit like smoking, you might go through the LifeHub Learning Pathway called 'Changing Your Health Habits' to prepare you for this pathway.

Begin the program by taking a self-assessment that will help you learn more about yourself and your smoking habits. In the next screen you will answer true or false to five statements that will help you make the decision as to whether to not only complete this learning pathway but also plan to use the nicotine patch or another replacement system.
