SMART Goals

Goals should be SMART:

Specific

Measurable

Action-oriented

Realistic

Timely

Goals must be specific enough so that you will know whether you have achieved them or not. Dates and milestones can make your goals measurable. Goals should be stated so that they express things to be done by you (not other people). They must be realistic and they must be timely. You must be able to achieve them within the time frame you specify.
