A master of timing:
- Knows in every hour of the day the use
they would like to make of their time.
- Knows their weaknesses (e.g. procrastination),
as well as their strengths, and learns ways to overcome their weaknesses.
- Conducts ongoing evaluations, whether
formal or informal, as to how they spend their time in contrast to how they
would like to do so.
- Views time as a whole and keeps professional
and personal routines in balance and consistent with life goals and personal
values.
- Uses any and all memory and performance
aids (e.g. Daytimers, reminders, project software) that can enable them to
engage in preferred actions at just the right time.
- Makes use of time in relation to a clear
set of goals that represent a balance between what is expected by others (e.g.
the boss) and what is desired for themselves.
- Uses time for play as well as work, takes
breaks during episodes of intense work and employs effective methods for reducing
tension.
- At the end of each day they are able to
say
the way I spent my time was a reflection of my personal values
and philosophy of life.
