As an exercise in translating the wishes in your head into goals write out three possible goals in each of these areas:

  • Physical well being
  • Family/Spouse
  • Humanitarian (helping others)
  • Financial
  • Career
  • Community
  • Personal development

 

Having done that, take your notes and set a goal for the next month in each of the seven areas. Share it with someone who cares about you and agree to evaluate results on a specific day in one month. Post your goals in your office and on the refrigerator at home.

As you look at the goals are there any intermediate steps that require action? If so, set SMART intermediate goals and write and share those with others.

By taking the time to write out your goals and share them with others, you are one giant step closer to having the life you desire.
