Opinion seeker Seeks clarification of values and points of view
Elaborator Gives examples to clarify
Coordinator Shows relationships among suggestions
Orientor Relates direction of discussions to original goals
Evaluator Questions logic or relative value of suggestions
Energizer Attempts to keep the group moving toward an action
Procedure technician Tries to keep team on track with materials etc.
Recorder Serves as the team memory
Encourager Offers praise to other team members
Hamonizer Promotes reconciliation and mediation for differences
Compromiser Willing to admit errors and modify positions when challenged
Gate-keeper Encourages participation and opening communication.
Standard setter Expresses standards for the team to achieve
Observer/commentator Records aspects of group process and comments
Follower Serves as audience and passively accepts ideas
