Welcome to the Learning Pathway on Emotional Resilience.
To be emotionally resilient means to be able to bounce back emotionally after suffering through difficult and stressful times. In this Learning Pathway, you will learn what qualities emotionally resilient people have that makes them more effective at managing stress than non-resilient people, and learn how to develop those qualities.
The first step in building resilience is to learn a little about how emotions work.
The next step is to learn to be more optimistic. There are some natural differences among us. Some people find it easier to remain optimistic in adversity while others must work at it more. But everybody can learn Strategic Optimism by learning how optimists think about adversity and then developing a more optimistic thinking style.
Then it's time to form your own plan for becoming a happier more resilient person!
