Introduction To Six Sigma

Six Sigma Themes

Six Sigma adopts many of the tools for optimizing team performance that were part of the quality revolution pioneered by W. Edwards Deming. It differs from many of the initiatives of the last two decades by ensuring that Six Sigma initiatives are in alignment with the business goals of the organization and by ensuring that there is sanction and support from the top down. Six Sigma links the top of the organization with those closest to the company’s products and its customers. As a management system Six Sigma emphasizes these themes, about which you can read more, by clicking the button:

 Focus on the customer

 Facts and data are better

 Design quality into the processes

 Be proactive not reactive

 Break down barriers.

 To err is human
